“Film is dead” has been a topic over the past few years. It means that the technology changes made the film replaced by the digital. This is another marketing or business issue that faces by the Kodak, which is a photographic film and related products company. Kodak is a well-known photographic film company with its film for camera. "You press the button, we do the rest", which is the slogan of Kodak company by the founder-George Eastman. He puts the first simple camera into the hands of a world of consumers in 1888. As the evolution of the technology, it led the film camera into an over-shrinking and has been replaced by digital camera nowadays. Users of film camera are dramatically decrease and most of the camera users switch to digital camera. In fact, people in the computer industry have been talking about the digital photography for years. You cannot edit, manage, display or store the pictures inside of the film to a computer but the invention of the digital photography can make this become truly simply and even simplified the photo taking process. Another disadvantage that consider by most of the camera users is, once the film is exposed to light, it cannot be used again. This is one of the major issues that discuss by many camera users and make them switch to digital camera. Another advantage of digital photography is, photographs can be viewed instantly, and either works on the digital camera or computer. If compare to film photography, you need to use the special chemicals in order to view the photographs and settle it in a dark room just like what we seen from TV. Sometimes, not only the various function of digital camera can make the people switch into it, the angle from business thought also is a reason to change the people’s perception to choose the digital photography.
