Fiction versus reality
When talking about the facts and the fiction about the courtrooms that we see on television and from what we see in real life courtroom situations. The United States tries to regulate the way they do things by three branches of government that have their own roles in the system and tries to stay independent of each other but still reliant on the other in many ways. These branches are responsible for the “enforcement, interpretation, invalidation and the law making of our country. This paper is going to discuss the legal system as the courts handle it; we will take a look at the fictional portrayals and an actual courtroom case that occurred. The purpose of these shows and the difference if any between the two types of law weather fiction or reality, to see if the television portrays the courts how they really are to be seen. When looking at the television show Law and Order, they try to portray dramatizes the law system from when the crime took place in the beginning and tries to keep the criminal a secret by putting different people in the spot light to try to throw you off of who really did the crime. When they catch the person gets arrested and they have to go to court they try to stay in with the courtroom appearance and do the prosecutor and the defense lawyers. They do their arguments and review the evidence that the court was brought forth for the jury to see and be able to decide it the evidence is the right part for the case. The jury on the television show has to do the same on any courtroom participation and decide if the defendant is either innocent or guilty. When comparing this to a real life situation it goes in to play pretty much the same. The police have to solve the case before the criminal can be held on trial for the crime that they committed.
