The family and socialisation.
Feral Children.
Isabel Quaresma:
Isabel Quaresma, also known as: The Portuguese Chicken Girl was born in 1970 in Tabua. Her mother was mentally deficient. When Isabelle was found she was 9 years old and had spent the last 8 years living in a chicken coop. She was completely isolated from human socialisation and interaction. When Isabelle was finally taken to hospital and tests were done, it showed that her growth was extremely stunted; she couldn’t talk and was not toilet trained. She held her arms to form the positions of ‘wings’. She was fed on scraps and hen food, and had a cataract on one eye, suspected to be from a chicken scratch. He died at the age of 40. Peter

Peter (The Wild Boy) was mentally handicapped and was from eastern Germany. He was found living in the wild near Hamelin. It wasn’t known whether he had parents, and he lived on forest...
