INTRODUCTION|

Philippines is a rice-eating nation. Filipinos eat lot of rice in just one day. Lugaw is a common comfort food for us. It can be eaten when youwant, whether it’s summer or winter it can be a good food to eat. One of our group mates, Charisse Castillo, had experienced in selling lugaw in their place. She suggested this business because she explained all the benefits and the good feedback of this business. We are engaging into a food business since people have been hardwired to grab something to eat at a food chain when they are hungry and away from home. This is a major advantage for any start up firm and because the only thing we need to consider is the future of our product and if there will be a demand for it in our local geographical area. Of course, a possible key to consider in having a good business is to have an original idea. From this, we have come up to a rice porridge business which is unlike any ordinary rice porridge, it has crushed chicharon, chopped chives, toasted garlic, hard boiled eggs, tofu and intestines which makes it special compared to an ordinary rice porridge. We have named the food chain next to its place “LugawansaMacaneneng” which is located in Macaneneng, Bagong Barrio Caloocan City. We have chosen this business because there are many potential customers in its location and because it only requires small capital.

MARKET AND DEMAND DESCRIPTION|
“Lugawa sa Macaneneng” is located in the market which is near several schools and church place which makes it the perfect place to have a successful business since there are many students whom are the main potential customers of the food chain. There are only two competitions in the location, the tapsilogan and the pares mami express. Among the three, our rice porridge is the cheapest yet delicious which costs as low as 15 pesos. Our strategy is to have varieties of toppings to be different from other ordinary rice porridge chain in case there would be the same business in the location and of course to keep our rice porridge clean and delicious.
