First I would like to express my gratitude and warm appreciation to my research facilitator Mr. King’oo for his endless support and guidance during the entire period I carried out my research. He was a very strong pillar of support and academic guidance. He was also a very rich source of knowledge that I needed during the entire period of the research work. I also can not forget madam Sandei’s great work.
Secondly I pass on my acknowledgement to all the staff from Mt. Olives ECDE college for equipping me with a lot of rich information.
Lastly my sincere gratitude go to my fellow comrades from my class. All my course mates were of great importance and a strong pillar of support and motivation during the entire research period.
This is a plan of different activities that tries to balance listening with relaxation. Children can concentrate for only a short time around 10-15 minutes. This study will be done to find out the effect of materials, teaching approaches and length of activities on concentration of Pre-School children aged 3-6 years. An observation schedule, a checklist and a questionnaire will be used. The researcher will use a descriptive survey design. The target population will be 20 children in a classroom situation and 10 teachers will be involved of the target population. The data will be collected manually then presented in tables, bar graphs and pie charts.
