Introduction/ Background:
When it comes to staying up on the latest things in life like fashion, music, and the gossip, most teens and adults turn to a social network. The most popular social networks that are used for communication are Facebook and Twitter. Many people may think that both networks are the same, but from my own experience and surveys that I have given out, they are very much different. Information about certain things can be found by going online and doing a little research.   When doing research, people have to do a little evaluation on what they are looking for like technical and visual aspects, currency, and the usability.   These criteria help out a lot when looking for a better way to understand a website.
Criteria:
I use the flowing criteria to evaluate both Facebook and Twitter.
  * Technical and visual aspects: how the color catches the viewer eye and how fast it loads and operates.
  * Currency: how often someone post things and how often the site is updated.
  * Usability: how easy it is to navigate though the site and if the site has shortcuts.
Technical and visual aspects:
Technical and the visual aspects are the first criteria many use when doing research on any website. When first looking up websites, the first thing many people may notice is if the site catches their eye.   When logging into Facebook the visual aspects are okay and is not overwhelmed with colors. The colors on the site are just a simple blue and that is not hard on the eyes. Twitter, on the other hand, has many colors that can be changed by the user and can sometimes be hard on the eyes if the colors clash.   Secondly, viewers and or bloggers will see if the website’s technical features are really reliable or not with obtaining information by how fast it loads.
