If there were ever an author whose life influenced their fiction literature, it was F. Scott Fitzgerald (FCF). Fitzgerald was born in St. Paul, Minnesota and was very spoiled as a child, as well as uncommonly gifted and charming. The character Jay Gatsby from FCF’s novel The Great Gatsby was also rich and spoiled and quite the charmer.   Fitzgerald fought in World War One in 1917 and his character Jay also fought in war.
Fitzgerald had a wife named Zelda who he fell in love with when stationed in Alabama. Daisy from The Great Gatsby represented Zelda in many ways.
Fitzgerald was a rich and somewhat spoiled person. He was born into a middle-class family on September 24, 1896, to Edward Fitzgerald and Mary McQuillan. Fitzgerald

      Jay Gatsby was rich and lived in a mansion and was a very charming and popular person. He had parties at his house all the time, just for an excuse to see his true love; Daisy Buchanan. Jay Gatsby represents FCF in a way that FCF wanted to have a life like Jay’s.
Fitzgerald was enrolled at Princeton University but when the US entered the first World War, Fitzgerald went to training facilities. “Fitzgerald left college for officers’ training school, yearning for heroic adventures on the battlefields at France.” (Anderson

533). Fitzgerald never went to war, but he started working on a novel while still in camp. When he was stationed in Alabama he met Zelda Sayre, who he fell in love with and married years later.
      Fitzgerald fulfilled his heroic dreams through Jay Gatsby. Jay was a war hero and earned a lot of awards... [continues]
