School might sometimes get boring and stressful, so in order to keep balance between academics and recreation most schools have added extracurricular activities in their curriculum. When choosing an extracurricular activity you must consider their requirements, which kind of place classes are being held and whether or not any of these activities suit the kind of personality you have. Once, when my friends and I were about to give up looking for an extracurricular activity to join, a friend of mine said “There is something you will be good at, so don’t give up and keep looking”. That’s when I found out that my passion goes for arts. Arts are activities that focus more in the perspective of beauty from each student and then this perspective is developed with a professor’s help. The most popular types of arts found in school are: dancing, sculpting and photography. One type of art is dancing. This activity requires special clothing that lets the body move freely; clothes such as jeans, T-shirts or any other tight clothes are not recommended. There are two reasons why classes are usually held in a theater, an auditorium or any other big place: 1) Participants need a big area to move freely so that their performance won’t be compromised. 2) Each participant is evaluated by a professor who will have to be able to see each participant’s abilities and progress. Dancing is an activity best suited for students who are physically active because they will need a lot of strength and stamina to perform well in classes. Another type of art is sculpting. This activity turns out to be a bit expensive since it requires a large amount of materials to model or carve such as stone, metal, ceramics, wood, etc. So, in order to avoid wasted money you can try selling your sculptures. All classes are held in a classroom since there is no need for a much larger space to perform this activity. Sculpting is best for students who are not physically active and like crafts.
