Video Games
Video games are one of the most consumer bought items in the world for young adults and children. In order to keep the system entertaining the creators have to improve a number of things through the years. 1) The graphics in video games has improved in the years. 2) The gameplay has taken gaming to a whole new level. 3) The music in video games has enhanced gameplay and makes the games more playable.
Video games have evolved in a lot of ways. For example the graphics have improved greatly from the time that video game consoles first came out in 1967 to 2012. The old video game consoles didn’t have very good graphics since the very first game was pong. The graphics back in the day only held about 3mp (megapixels). Now with the new game systems out the megapixels is about 100 times that. Graphics may be very important when playing a game but isn’t the only thing that makes a video game great. Over the years video game graphics have gone from looking fake and uninteresting to realistic and amazing.
Gameplay has turned gaming into a whole new experience. For instance in the older games the story line was short and for some people very boring. Gameplay is the specific way in which players interact with a game. Gameplay is what distinguishes a game from a non-interactive medium such as a book or film through the interaction with the game by the player. There are different types of gameplay in the world and they are: leveled gameplay, cooperative gameplay, and deathmatch. Leveled gameplay is games that have levels that contain different game difficulties that you can choose. Some examples of leveled gameplay are games like Halo, and left for dead. Cooperative gameplay is a feature in games that allows the user to play with friends online or on the same system; you work as a team to fight against AI opponents.
