INTI MID-AUTUMN CELEBRATION 2013
By Chris Tivony
Subang Jaya - The authorities and students from Chinese Cultural Society all came in hand in hand to put up this beautiful Mid-Autumn Celebration 2013 at 18th September 2013 at Inti International College Subang Plaza.
"This Mid-Autumn Festival was dedicated to all students and working staffs to have a wrap around home feeling especially those who are from other states, miles away from home. This what Mid-Autumn is about, a gathering of laughter and chatter," said Alex Yong the President of Chinese Cultural Society.
Mid-Autumn exact date falls on the 15th day and 8th month according to the lunar calendar. A tradition celebration of the moon where the Chinese culture believes that every couple or single individual will meet their other half in this special celebration.
Nonetheless, the Inti Mid-Autumn Celebration maintained the very traditional way of having quizzes hanged at the bottom of the lighted lanterns. In addition the committee did have a mini concert going on the entire celebration, mixture of traditional and trendy songs performed by INTI students themselves to have a better atmosphere of Mid-Autumn sensation.
"Certainly it does attracts more people coming to this kind of Mid-Autumn Celebration by having performances like dancing, singing and also some competition," said Chloe one of the performer on that night.
On the other hand Mid-Autumn catered a wide range of delicacies that are served to the attendees which represent the spirit of Malaysia in a very healthy occasion and gathering.
Last but not least, the proudest moments of us being a Malaysian is that we are able to compromise and love each other's culture and still being a part of it, this is what make us a beautiful nation.

    Fall Season

Fall holds its own unique meaning for every individual. It could be the coming of cooler days to some, while others think of football. To the younger individuals, it means back to school, and those who are passionate about nature enjoy this time of year. Something as simple as a season change holds so many meanings to so many different individuals. Fall season is one of the most seasons I like because it makes me feel refreshed, cozy, renewed, and happy. Even though to some people it may just be a bunch of dead leaves, to me fall is a time of peace, love and remembrance. It lets me remember my child-hood when my brother and I rake huge piles of leaves then destroy the pile by jumping into them. I also love waking up in the morning and see the pecan tree out the window bare branches blowing in the wind. The best part is when I make cookies and sit on the porch, wrapped in a blanket, eating them with cold milk and watching the sunset. During the fall season, we encounter many Holidays such as Thanksgiving, Halloween, Black Friday and Christmas, creating a comfortable atmosphere. With the presence of friends and family around me, things always get easier to go through since others are always willing to put smiles on each other’s face. Black Friday is the day I always wait for every year. This is when I get prepared to buy all the stuff I need through the whole year from clothes to electronics. Although I hate to wait in those busy, long lines having my mom beside me and having some nice conversation makes time fly by too fast. Also, Thanksgiving is the best part of this season. It isn’t just about food, it is about feeling thankful and having the family reunite, nothing is better than having the ones you love beside…

I spent the Kadayawan Festival with friends, classmate and family. On the first day of the festival me and my Classmates in English 102 namely Erix, Princess and her friend Jela went to a KTV near People’s Park. We sang, danced, and stuffed ourselves with delicious food and snacks. Even if we don’t hit the right pitch of the song we still had fun laughing at ourselves. We had so much fun starting at 4 o’clock in the afternoon up to 8 o’clock in the evening. After the KTV we went separate ways and my friend and I went to Gaisano Mall and had our dinner at Pizza Hut then went home.…
