Every organization is consider to be a complex adaptive system that is subjected to different internal and external factors that may affects the strategies in obtaining certain organizational goals. Initially, the article conveys that every organization is comprised with set of interactions between agents or stakeholders in the environment that nowadays have changed drastically which is deemed to be occurring due two major dimensions which are complexity and turbulence. Complexity is the diversity in environmental factors such as customers, suppliers, socio-politics and technology. It argues that as the complexity increases the more it became difficult for the organization to handle. Moreover, Turbulence is defined to as dynamism in the environment that involves rapid or unexpected changes within the environmental dimensions. Since it is believed to be that two dimensions can be uncertain it best means that an organization should do is to identify ways to handle such environments.
Moreover, to support the analysis the study utilizes complexity theory to give a better understanding of the scheme. Complexity theory states that all things inside an organization tend to self-organize into system. It still argues that the system is not totally chaotic. The theory implies that an organization have the ability to self organize which can encourage them to creatively respond on the changing environments. Due to the argument, it is best to conclude that a management under a complex and turbulent environment should be organic, decentralised and must promote a flat structural system that can give their employees opportune capability to decide ways to handle the diversity of changes and also allow them to self organized accordingly.
