My Opinion : I believe that women are still discriminated against in the workplace because women gets paid less than men. While doing the same jobs.
Source #1: Do Men Really Earn More Than Women?
I chose this article because it explained why men typically get paid more than women. This source say that “ men wages grow a longer period of time and achieve higher levels than women’s on average” because of “ women’s pay growth stops pacing men’s around the age of
30 , which is when college ­educated women usually start having children “ and also “overall , men and women gravitate towards different careers . The most popular choices for men tend to pay higher than the most popular choice for women.” My souce definitely supported my opinion and also bought clarity why it was possible for men to make more. After researching women and men salaries I stand by my opinion.

I chose this article because women are always competing for the same jobs as men and has to work twice as hard once getting the job. “Among college­educated professionals, the wage gap between women and men starts out small (with women earning in 90 percent range of men in their 20s) before widening as women age , falling in some cases to 70 percent level The gap starts decreasing again as women enter their 40s .” So this statement also agree with my opinion and the first source. The data I have collected reassure me that my opinion was right but also it saddens me thats the type of world that we live in. My opinion has not changed but now I am well aware and prepare to break that cycle once I have a degree.Although people are aware of

this situation for many of years now only recently our President Barack Obama has been trying to change this problem in the United States .

    Women have experienced a historic situation of inequality in the social as well as professional aspects. Women are normally the ones that would take care of the children, do the household chores, and in rural areas; they would work in the field with the rest of the family. Just like how the Breaking Barriers article states, “from an early age, girls are dressed in pink boys in blue.     The impact of discrimination against women and their pay entitlements has been, without debate, proven by many polls and research efforts. According to an article published in The Wall Street Journal that conducted a poll discussing gender in workplace bias, “84% of women say men are paid more for similar work, a view borne out by government data but which draws agreement from only two-thirds of men.
