Introduction
Definition: The tendency to use one’s own culture as a yardstick for judging the ways of other societies. * It can create in group loyalties or lead to harmful discrimination. * Think our self as superior and take other as inferior on the basis of culture, language, religion etc. * The basic reason for ethnocentrism is internal sense of superiority. When this feeling of superiority complex exceeds limits it destroys righteousness and justice and becomes an evil passion. For example:-

Father should act as a father and he should not try to become father of other people. The solution to this problem is that he should be realistic. He should like for others what he likes for himself and keep away it from others what his dislikes for himself.

Root cause: Ethnocentrism has some root causes from where it started and become the main problem of the whole world. Some of them I discussed below. * Before the prophet hood of Muhammad (saw) Ibrahim’s ancestry was consider superior. But later on after the teachings of our last prophet (PBUH) this concept was soon eliminate. As the Prophet (PBUH) says:

Likewise, there is no superiority of a white over a red (race) person except for the level of piety (mindfulness of God, the Almighty Allah in life and practices)”. * In Mughal kingdom era the people think that son of king was superior. And this is also the basic cause of ethnocentrism. * Hindus in India believe that Brahman are created from the head of Bhagwan and dallit are created from feet of Bhagwan so Brahman are superior to dallit. Muslims also adopted this evil from Hindus and began to believe in caste system. * Quaid i Azam’s Two Nation Theory does not apply now because it was just for that time when Muslims and Hindus were living united in subcontinent.

He defined the two nation theory as:
“The Muslims are a nation by every right to establish their separate homeland. They can adopt any means to promote and protect their economic, social, political and cultural interests”.

But people still revise that theory in Pakistan which is the major reason of ethnocentrism in Pakistan. And at the result of it the...
