Many individuals anticipate the moment of receiving their first National Identification Card. Now that's cool. In today's society a persons identity is very important. A person who has their ID card can perform certain transaction by themselves for example open their very own bank account. In order to obtain an Identification Card the process is very simple. You should be a citizen of Trinidad and Tobago who is 15 years or older. Also ensure that you have all the necessary documents in hand before going to your Registration Area Office. A list of documents is available on line. Your ID card cannot be processed on line though, you must go in person. Upon application you would be given an application form to complete and then you will be photographed. You also have the option to carry your own photograph with exact dimensions of 2.54 cm x 3.175 cm (1” x 1¼”) and have either a light blue or white background.
