When you hear the word exams, you usually get to be anxious about them, and about the possibility of passing or failing them. I think that exams are not accurate measure of a person’s ability. After a lot of exercises I managed to overcome my fears, and now I am very accustomed to exams.
As a start point, we can say that people are different and it is a known fact that being different has its bonuses, but it also defines us and the way we can be and are appreciated. People have different talents, people manifest themselves in various ways and domains. For example, an artist can choose to paint a picture of a beautiful landscape, while another artist can choose to create characters for a digital film. Both of them have the same talent, with slightly different preferences. So, is it fair to make both of them take an exam in which, for example, you have to do some web design? The artist doing the landscapes would be disadvantaged, and the artist doing the computer characters will have the upper hand. Although exams are the most common way to test someone’s ability, there are not so accurate as they may seem. That is why there are people that actually are succesfull in business and life, even if they do not pass their exams.
To come to an end, we can say that there are no assurances that an exam can truly and fully appreciate your knowledge or talents.
