Hello students,
You will begin to get feed back from tomorrow on your last mini assignment  I have sent your grade and comments for the last assignment,hence the delay in responding to my mini assignment. Students ,you need to look again at the use of in text citation.This was lacking in most of the assignments.Also,while there was an improvement in citing the sources, more revision is needed here.  

You must begin to work on Credit Assignment 4 due April,11,2013. This assignment is worth 15 %.You must produce a topic to sentence outline,introduction,two paragraphs (one each based on 2 different main points given in the outline) and a conclusion on ONE of the questions given,using the expository method indicated. 1) Compare and contrast the contributions of two named Caribbean countries to the international field of sports. 2) Discuss the factors that have led to the increased popularity of a named Caribbean musical form on the international market. 3) Present, in order of  significance, steps that the Caribbean can adopt as a whole to better represent the region in the field of world politics OR economic policy OR culture. 4)  Explain what is meant by ONE of the following:

global village - technical definition

(1) A term coined by Marshall McLuhan who envisioned the world interconnected via electronic communications. (2) (Global Village Communications, Inc.) A manufacturer of communications products for the Macintosh and Windows PCs founded in 1989. In 2000, it was acquired by Zoom Telephonics Inc.

PROCESS ANALYSIS

This week we will look at another expository method-Process Analysis. Here the emphasis is placed on the sequence of events involved in a particular activity-this can be the sequence involved in how something is made,how it functions or how it is caused.When we are concerned with how something is made  we can be said to be looking at directional process e.g. how to bake a cake. When our concern is with the process involved in how something is caused or how it functions we can be said to be looking at informational process e.g. how a star is formed.In both cases we pay attention to the sequence of events involved. With process analysis there is a process,a breaking up of a continuous action into a detailed number of steps.The significance of the sequence of the steps identified is important in satisfying the analysis component of the process analysis question. The business of process analysis is to divide what may be a continuous action into a series of stages. In Process Analysis information is organized according to a particular criteria e.g. when building a house you would finish all the masonry work before painting and so an awareness of purpose is important when organization information.
