Abortion
Abortion is one of the most controversial issues in America and politics today. Many people feel that abortion is evil because it is killing an unborn child. On the other hand, others believe that it is a woman’s constitutional right to choose especially in certain situations such as incest, rape, or health issues threatening the mother’s life.

There are many people that think that abortion is okay and there are also many that think it is just straight wrong. The people that think that it’s wrong are also known as pro-life advocators. It also matters what their religion is because to Roman Catholics, abortion is morally wrong, and for Jews it’s justified under certain circumstances. So there is a difference between each one of these views from different religions. One major reason that people think that abortion is wrong is because they think it is murder. A major reason that people think abortion is okay, is when somebody is raped. It’s not fair that that person has to live with that for nine months.

Every year in the United States 1.5 million abortions are performed. Some people say that abortion is just portraying a modern-day Holocaust. Is having an abortion murder? It matters who you are talking to because some people don’t think that life begins until birth and others believe that it is at conception. Some say that an unborn child is still a child and deserves the same rights as other humans. Other people like Don Sloan argues that although an abortion destroys an embryo, it is not murder. He says that the embryo, or fetus, is not a separate human life because it is not able to live outside the woman’s body.

Is abortion a selfish choice for one to make? Some people say that abortion is selfish because, by abortion, the mother does not learn to love, but kills even her own child to solve her problems. People also say that by abortion, the father is pretty much told that he does...
