What a busy day!
To start off, I could barely sleep last night because of the quarrel between my brother Duane and his girlfriend Ara, and because of my excitement touring with my college friends and of course with the Korean exchange students. I’ve always wanted to visit Rizal’s simple house, and I’m finally here! Before we go there, we tour around the great Intramuros. The antique buildings and museums were a great sight , it is new to my eyes. ! After we went through some historical spots like San Agustin Church. Its time to go to the one of the major highlight of the trip and that is Fort Santiago. It is a highlight because of one major incident.
When we were in the middle of Fort Santiago, we decided to take a picture for the documentation. We decided that our picture would be a Jumpshot pic. But accidentally, one of my classmate accidentally push Maan’s hand. Thus, Maan’s phone went flying through the ground though. The suspect is still in question though because nobody investigated the incident. Like a detective should do. Lol just joking. After that gloomy scene, we travel further to see Rizal’s prison when he was being held captive. There is also footprints of him when he was released from the prison to be assassinated. That’s sad but it is what it is. Moving on, after Fort Santiago we decided to have a lunch break. So after a long trip we stop over at the SLEX to have something to it. After the short break its time to go back to the college van and continue our journey.
After a long long long I mean LONG journey we were finally at Rizal’s house at Calamba, Laguna. And we will fail utterly because it is closed for sightseeing. That’s just sad considering the long journey we take. Anyway, it doesn’t change the fact that when we are in the van, memories have been shared, bonds are formed and we are simply having fun. At the end of the day, it was a busy yet a wonderful experience.
