Boracay is an anchor tourist destination and one of the 7,000 times more islands that make up the Philippine archipelago. The palm-studded Boracay Island with its white, talcum-fine beach, balmy weather and warm, crystalline waters is like a hypnotic magnet that lures many to a lotus existence. In this tiny, butterfly shaped island at the northwestern tip of Panay in Western Visayas , days can be spent by simply lazing on the beach and nights are for indulging in the tropical party lifestyle. Hailed as one of the prime, Philippine Destination Boracay Island is one gem of an Island that's grown to be really popular over the years. It is located in the province of Aklan, about 345kms south of Manila, and is at the northern tip of Panay island off Sibuyan Sea. Every year, this tourist hotspot never ceases to surprise vacationers from the latest fab dining places and resorts to the newly discovered even.Invented-fun and leisure activities. There's a multitude of resorts and hotels in this tropical paradise starting off with class-A resorts that offer world class destination down to budget ones for those who have little to spend.

Boracay made its first foray into tourism in the 1970s, but many global hotel giants didn't take notice until recently.
