The Final Report will be graded by the Course Instructor(s) and is weighted at 40% of the final course grade. The Final Report is due Friday April 5th by 4:30pm, to be delivered in hard copy format to Brianna Douglas, FBIT Reception Desk (UB 4006). An additional hard copy of your Final Report must also be delivered to your client by this date.
Final Report Guidelines
The final report consists of a professionally bound and written body of text presenting your overall Capstone project and a series of appendices supporting the team’s research, analysis, recommendations and/or implementation plans. The body of the report should not exceed 20 pages, single‐spaced (this limit does not include relevant appendices). Use of sub‐headings is encouraged to organize and present your professional report. A table of contents helps to organize the report and should be included. An executive summary is mandatory. Formal citations (APA or MLA format) are required for any sources of information not authored by the Capstone team. All appendices must also be referenced. Correct grammar and spelling will be considered as part of the overall report’s professionalism and the report should be free of errors. Ensure writing is crisp, clear and concise.
Report Components The Final Report is a standalone document, authored with the client in‐mind. Keep in mind that anyone should be able to read your report and thoroughly understand your projects purpose, research, analysis and recommendations and/or implementation plans.
