HISTORY OF CATHAY PACIFIC

Cathay Pacific was established on 24th September, 1946. Its’ headquarter built in Shanghai first and moved to Hong Kong after a founder member-American Roy C Farrell and Australian Sydney H de Kantzow-decision, and established the airline at the same time. The flight would be included Manila, Bangkok, Singapore and Shanghai. Also, Cathay Pacific injected the First-Class and Economy-Class into their airline. Indeed, Cathay Pacific had been development in 1950s to 1960s.

SERVICE NATURE

Although Cathay Pacific was established on 24th September,1946 , and expanded their business. Apart from international airlines, Cathay Pacific had three types of their service nature, such as catering, aircraft maintenance and ground handing companies.

NUMBER OF SERVICE STAFF

According to the information of Cathay Pacific and its subsidiaries employ, they had over 29,900 airways staff around the world. In Hong Kong, Cathay Pacific had 22,824 airways staff including 14,480 are Cathay Pacific staff and 8,344 work for local subsidiaries.
