This is highly to due with rising gas and food prices.
Business
Will have to spend more money on promotions.
Increase sales and deals.
Competition
]Victoria Secret sold off their business apparel and is concentrating on their main selling point, PINK which focus on young girls and their lingerie for women.
More and more stores have begun to promote more lingerie.
Abercombie & Fitch launched Gilly Hicks
American Eagle Outfitters - Aerie
JCPenny launched Ambrielle
Kohls is beginning to aggressively market their lingerie.
Technology
New gadgets are allowing consumers to connect easier. Hottest new trend has been the andriod market and iphones which allow consumers to download apps which give consumers access to almost anything and everything. Social Networking has also expanded tremendously allowing people to communicate to one another easier.

Victoria Secret has launched an app which allows consumers to view items, scan barcodes, find a store, and fun extras such as viewing bios of the Victoria Secret Models.
They have also created a Facebook Page which posts status of events and deals happening which allows billions of people to read when they log on Facebook.

Currently President Obama is trying to eliminate certain business regulations to help small business and consumers. The U.S has also begin to reach the national debt. Social Cultural
The Y-generation is emerging and is now the main focus for most of Victoria Secrets target market. PINK is the line focused on the y-generation.
Victoria Secret promotes to women and understand today’s women is all about power, confidence, and sexiness. Victoria Secret does a very well job at appealing to women all these aspects.
