As a result of our company’s recent merger with EnviroTech, we have expanded our product and service line. We will now be providing full service cleaning solutions to organizations in the health care industry. Job analysis is the process of identifying and determining in detail the particular job duties, requirements and the relative importance of these duties for a given job. It is a process where judgments are made about data collected on a job. An important concept of Job analysis is that the analysis is conducted of the job, and not the person. I believe the employees we have at EnviroTech and the employees we have gained from InterClean are properly suited for the positions they will hold. The purpose of Job analysis is to establish and document the job relatedness of employment procedures such as training, selection, compensation, and performance appraisal. (Cascio, 2005)
In addition, some of our current team members will be promoted to new positions, and I have recruited new members to join our team as well. This will serve as an informal introduction of everyone, in the upcoming weeks we will plan an outing so everyone can be formally introduced.
Dedrick Cooper, who was formally the senior sales manager, is being promoted to the Vice President of Sales position. He is a 32 year old African American male with a master’s degree in Business from the University of Georgia. Dedrick has been with InterClean for 5 years. He has spearheaded several projects during his employment with the company, and has received the Superior Customer Service award 4 out of the 5 years he has been with the company.
