Knowledge and Individual power
People start learning from the time of birth, they learn to smell, touch and not to mention drink and eat. At a very young age people were taught how to talk, dress themselves and learn their ABC’s. So learning and being educated is a part of life and growing from ever since. Knowing something is the premise of progress. With knowledge comes understanding and reasoning, with understanding comes power. After reading three poems, “Theme for English ‘B’’’ by Langston Hughes, “Crazy Courage” by Alma Luz Villanueva and “Much madness is divinest sense” by Emily Dickinson. I interpreted that, although its three different scenario, they are conveying the same message. People must be more willing to accept change and don’t be afraid to show their individuality despite if it’s acceptable or not.
Imagine living in this world knowing nothing? Firstly, people wouldn’t know how to read, write or even work. They would not be able to make or invent the things that they use in their daily lives, like computers, phones, televisions, cars, clothes and food. With knowledge people are able to use their individual power to express their ideas by keep inventing different technology and at the same time seeking new ways to improve and help their society to be stronger and more efficient. Secondly, being able to learn is a privilege not a strain, it’s up to you to take advantage of that. Because, the more you know the more power you have. However the power am talking about is not the power over people but the constant drive or craving for attaining knowledge. The drive to do better and make better for themselves.
Knowledge plays a crucial part in people lives. It couches their mental level and lead them to do better in their lives. It’s like a flash light that gives light in the darkness. Without knowledge it’s like blindly living. Secondly, each person is

My view and the excerpts from Lauren Axelrod well written analysis below seem to be the same. Knowledge gives self empowerment.…

Knowledge on the other hand can be powerful. How often have you heard people say, "If only I had known?" or wished they had more information before making some sort of life changing decision. The way to overcome the negativity that knowledge of the deeper things in life bring is to understand the responsibility knowledge brings by using the intellectual thinking people possess to create ways to better society, and to right the wrongs that are taking place in society. When you know the facts about something, you can make a more informed decision about events and things going on in your life. I believe that most people would prefer to not be left in the dark.…

Einstein said “Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world” (Needle, 2007). All the knowledge in the world is useless unless you are able to use information in creative ways. Knowledge is what other people have created. Understanding is all about what you think about something. Everybody sees, hears, feels, and thinks differently. No two people in the world have the same understanding of the same thing.
