Employees Training Paper
Employee training is a very important component for company’s success and well being. With the nature of business being extremely competitive along with rapid changing, employees now must be train so that they will be knowledgeable and able to adapt to different situations. Employee training can build knowledge and improve employee attitudes. Employee knowledge and attitudes ultimately determine the level of success business organizations achieve. It is the responsibility of management and the human resource to train their employees so that each employee will know what their job is, the job requirements, and how to perform their job duties properly. Employers who actively engage in employee training, reap the benefits from training their employees, leading to improved work productivity, quality of products/services and customer satisfaction. This paper will outline the importance of employee development, purpose of training and development, and training methods.
Training is the process of teaching new employees the basic skills they need, to perform their jobs (Gary Dessler). Training is learning an experience which seeks a relatively permanent change in the individual that will improve his ability to perform his/her job well. Every organization needs to have well trained, experienced and adjusted employees to perform their duties efficiently. Training can involve the changing of skills, knowledge, attitudes, or behavior. It may mean changing what employees know, how they work, their attitudes toward their work or their interaction with their coworker or supervisor. Training is more present day oriented and focuses on individual’s existing jobs and enhancement of abilities to perform well.
