Improving the productivity of the organization and the worker has always been the objective of any management philosophy. Of all the assets that the organization possesses, the human element can provide the most variability and therefore require the greatest attention. Employee motivation is important if any organization wishes to fully its objective of increased productivity. This paper discusses the potential productivity of any organization as it is affected by the motivational level of the workers. The paper contends that employee motivation is important if any organization wishes to fully achieve its objective of increased productivity. The paper explores the importance of employee satisfaction and team work. The paper closes with a classification of methods for managers on improving employee morale and motivation in five categories: monetary rewards; work-life balance; career-oriented benefits; entertainment; and status enhancing. In any organization, the goal for progress as well as rapid acquisition of income and profit are considered as the central task for the management. As a result, different activities that are related on research and study regarding the development of the organization is considered as vital in order to maintain competitive position in the market. Human resource is considered as one of the most important, if not the most important aspect in an organization. This is because of the fact that the employees or the staffs are the one working in order to produce the outcome product or service. Based on this, it is vital for any organization to focus on how to improve the working environment and situation of the employees in order to increase their morale and their satisfaction which will help in order to improve their productivity, which will later on reflect the overall performance of the company and helps to maintain competitive advantage in the market. The relationship between job satisfaction, motivation, and efficiency or productivity is very important in the business industry as well as in personal life. Long term research has found that the single greatest predictor of longevity is work satisfaction. Work is one third to one half of a persons’ lifetime, and if frustrated the mental and physical effects are very costly. Job characteristics including skill variety, task identity, and task significance lead to psychological conditions in which in turn leads to increased motivation, performance and job satisfaction. It is important to investigate this area in order to determine how much of an effect does overall job satisfaction, motivation and productivity has on each other. It is also important to research the relationship between motivation because it can assist businesses in designing and manufacturing an environment to maximize productivity and efficiency while keeping their employees satisfied. Motivation at work stimulates the interest of a person in an activity. Motivation at works is very complex because there are multiple motives operating at the same time. Goals motivate and guide workers’ behaviors. Specific goals are better than general goals and little difficulty is better than easy goals. The degree of expectancy determines how much effort is put forth, people will work hard if they expect the effort will pay off.
