1. I will be applying for a job designing and developing the new financial information software products at Bloomberg. The position begins with a 16 week training program to learn the technical and financial skills needed in order to work at Bloomberg. If successful in the training stage I will be a part of the design and development of a new financial information software product. There are a wide range of skills that will be accepted for this position, including; engineering, finance, mathematics, accounting, statistics, etc. 2. The Bloomberg online organization is very different than any other informational page I have seen. Bloomberg’s company page is bursting with fun, bright, lively information drawing the reader to look and want more. One is able to find stock information, Bloomberg’s new energy in finance, government, etc. This is appealing because not only does Bloomberg target traders, investors, but computer engineers, with the complexity and multi-dimensional site. With the multiple boxes of different information signifying that Bloomberg has/does it all and does it the best is what represents its goals and identity. It is doing all kinds of different things, and is the best at displaying them. It’s a financial based company therefore the finance is represented by tickers, and the different market statistics. 3. The most recent article written on the company Bloomberg was on August 29, 2012. The article was discussing the new book by John Wiley and Sons ltd’s “Visual Guide to Financial Markets, Bloomberg addition.” Essentially it was discussing the layout of this guide book. The target of this article was investor. The article was advertised to exaggerate the fact that everyone would love to be able to invest with as much knowledge and skill as Bloomberg experts.
