XXX is a Canadian company based in Kingston Ontario founded with the singular vision of providing sensible, clean, safe and sustainable energy solution at an affordable rate for socioeconomic development. One of the strategic goals of the organization was to establish a niche in different global regions specifically in West Africa and North America. In 2010, the company created a US subsidiary to explore the renewable energy US market. I was selected as the President and CEO of the new subsidiary with sole responsibility for the overall operations of the company including all financial, legal, and administrative matters, setting strategic direction, and managing business development and marketing. My primary role is to implement the strategic goals and objectives of the organization and working the CEO of the parent company to enable the Board to fulfill its governance function. I currently manage a team of six executives and a contract staff of four people, while giving direction and leadership toward the achievement of the organization's philosophy, mission, strategy, and its annual goals and objectives. As this is a startup company with a limited operating history, the scope of the business is in a phase of development and research for markets. I currently oversee design, marketing, promotion, delivery and quality of programs, products and services. I have been liaising with financial and education institutions to form collaborative partnerships that will help foster and promote the numerous breakthroughs in renewable energy research.
