BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY
In this modern era, there are lots of innovations in televisions that popped out so fast. These days mainly two types of displays are very famous among people. These are L.E.D. and L.C.D. displays. L.E.D. stands for Light Emitting Diodes displays and L.C.D. are Liquid Crystal Display. L.E.D. is a technology used in L.C.D. monitors for improving the energy efficiency of the system that offers the advantages over CCFL (cold cathode fluorescent) L.C.Ds of reduced energy consumption, better contrast and brightness, greater color range, more rapid response to changes in scene and more accurate image rendering. On the other hand, L.C.D., these are televisions that use L.C.D. display technology to produce images. L.C.D. televisions are thinner and lighter than cathode ray tube of similar display size, and are available in much larger sizes. When manufacturing costs fell, this combination of features made L.C.D.s practical for television receivers. An L.C.D. screen puts out no light. So in the older L.C.D.s, fluorescent lighting behind the screen was utilized, but the colors are tended to be a titch on the green side. LED TVs are still LCD TVs. It is just that these new sets use LED backlights rather than the fluorescent-type backlights used in most other LCD TVs.
