Effective Communication
Communication is how people share ideas, information, opinions, and feelings. The purpose of communication is for people to have harmony and peace within a work area. A person can send a message to someone that is very effective and the receiver understands what the person is communicating to him or her. A group of people who believe in the same cause can view ideas, information, opinions, and feelings to strengthen the group.
A person who has good communication skills can help a person keep his or her head and feel confident taking charge in unfamiliar situations. When a person can express himself or herself well, people are more likely to listen and this will be useful when influencing and negotiating team members. When working together in an organization or business, it is always good to be courteous while speaking to anyone within the workplace. When I worked for one particular lawyer, my coworkers did not mind what they said and neither did my boss. The boss would just as soon lay someone out in the lobby in front of everybody waiting to see him. That lawyer did not care and to me that is so uncalled for. This Lawyers office had very poor ineffective communication and I only lasted two weeks in this office.
There is currently a need for an individual health care worker to consider effects of their communication behavior on his or her own efficiency and effectiveness as well as on that of others. Ineffective communication behaviors may result in an interruptive workplace, which can contribute to inefficiency in an organization. People working in the healthcare area are highly mobile during their working day. The mobility of staff and the difficulty contacting these “moving targets” suggest that support for mobility through the use of wireless technology, such as cellular telephones or pagers may be beneficial(Effective Communication.)
