In this report we attempted to look into the reasons behind the threatened biodiversity and associated flora and fauna in Saint Martin’s island, which has been a cause of grave concern for quite some time now. The report helped us to gain a deeper understanding of the causes behind rapid depletion of natural resources and extinction of several species and finding out possible measures to limit or stop further damage and maintain biodiversity and crucial ecological balance of the island. For the preparation of the report, we consulted secondary sources such as thesis, journals and other relevant documents on the topic. This report has been prepared for the requirement of the course Economics of Geography and Environment, Course Code: G 101 and the content of this report will not be revealed for any other purpose.
