Overview
The mother company of Econo ball pen is GQ manufactures Industries Ltd. GQ Ball Pen Industries Limited, has started its journey in 1981 as a first member of GQ Group of Companies Limited, is a leading ball point industry in Bangladesh. Within a short span of time the company emerged as a leading Ball Point Pen Industry of the country due to its innovative and quality products. The company was listed in Dhaka Stock Exchange and Chittagong Stock Exchange on 14, July 1986 and 10, October 1996 respectively. GQ Ball Pen Industries Limited has introduce two legendary brands in Bangladesh—ECONO & GQ. ECONO is a flagship brand of the company. Just after its introduction, ECONO drew the attention of all students, professionals, executives .Gradually, ECONO became a loving brand for the people of Bangladesh for its pleasure of writing. ECONO was a proud brand for Bangladesh. Innovative product, dedication to quality, fast customer service, reasonable pricing strategy made the ECONO BALL PEN the leader from 1980 to 2000 it maintained its leading position. But after 2000 the popularity of this brand become declining. Now this is a dead brand.
