ECE 353 Week One Discussion One
I am currently a medical paraprofessional in a preschool class of three and four year olds, both typical and special needs. I see firsthand how children differ to only special needs vs. Typical but typical vs. typical and special needs vs. special needs. No matter who the child they all differ. Not only physical, but intellectually, cognitively, language, problem solving and reasoning. When making the lesson plans needing to meet the curriculum goals, we must make sure that every child is being reached. A simple felt story board after reading a story can help them understand it better, have the children take turns, ask open-ended questions, have them draw a picture. These simple steps will help each individual understand the story. Interacting with these young children, needs to be positive, we are here to help them learn, we need to be role models and help in any way these children need to help cognitively, language, problem solve and reason.

The funding is for the equipment to dry the fruits, rent, promotion and utilities. From this week’s readings I have found several sources for small start-ups; however, the funding that will satisfy the needs of the company is the State and Federal loan.…

Chapter I: Permutations, combinations, occupancy problems. We start with some basic counting principles and examples. I.1. Two ways of counting the same finite set give the same answer. Example I.2. (Hand shaking lemma). The number of delegates at a conference who shake hands an odd number of times is even. Proof. Let D1 , ..., Dn be the delegates, and let X = {(i, j) : Di and Dj shake hands}, and let k = |X|. We count k in two ways. First k is even because it is twice the number of handshakes. Secondly k = k1 + ... + kn where ki = the number of times that Di shakes hands. THUS k1 + .. + kn is even, which implies that evenly many of the ki are odd, which is what we wanted to prove. I.3.…

As numerous people have stated before, “if you want to understand someone, take a walk in their shoes.“ From this, one is not able to truly comprehend the feelings someone may have or how many difficulties a person endeavors on a day-to-day basis, unless they spend time with them. The topic that I helped research as a group for our senior project was how students with special needs cooperate with others like them, and then how they interact with people in society that do not have these needs. While researching this project, I kept one question in mind, what similarities and differences occur with these children when they are brought into these situations with new people. Through our mentor, we were able to interact with the special needs children at our school, one by observing from a distance, not to interfere with how they may regularly go about their school day, and then engaging in the tasks of assisting the students with whichever task they had at hand.…
