One of the current programs in the centre is to extend children’s learning about Clay playing. I had thought of my wife who is very good at Clay playing, but she can only speak a little English.

We got a special clay which is called “Light weight Clay”. It is original from Japan, but now getting more and more popular in China. It is made by an environmental protection, non - toxic, odorless, and natural dried martial, so it is very good and health for children to play and creative. I talked this with the manager, and she was very exciting and asked me to bring my wife to the centre.

Today, when children had just finished their lunch, i brought my wife to the centre with the “Light weight Clay. I asked children who want to play Clay with us, lots of children were so active and want to play with us. At first, we showed our finished product to the children and asked them what they want to make. They were all very interesting in making an ice cream. My wife started taught children with speaking mandarin. We asked children to mix the colour together to make a special colour for cone. After that we made some chocolate, strawberry, mint and vanilla colour and asked the children to choose their favorite flavor and roll it into a ball so they can put these ice-cream balls on cone. After they had made their own ice-cream, we asked them to choose one topping for ice-cream. Then we put their ice-cream on their own paper to let it dry and started to make another thing with the children.

When their parents coming we give a hook to them and told them to put it on when it dry, then they can hang this hand-made pendant to anywhere they like. They were so happy and very grateful to us. The next day, the children came to centre and made some painting for my wife and me.

To promote cognitive development, I will provide activities and materials to develop children's curiosity, problem solving and reasoning skills. I will provide a time in our daily schedule for exploring our manipulative cabinet where there are puzzles, magnets, gears, colored counting cubes and blocks. When reading stories I will ask open-ended questions and allow time for discussion. During circle time we will sing many fun songs about the letters of the alphabet and days of the week. Every other week we go to the library and have the librarian read to us. For the child with special needs I will have pencil holders and give extra time to complete their projects.…

In this lab, I played with a group of children when they were representing different characters. The children represented the Zompies character, and one boy came to me and said, “I will eat your hart”. Also, they played Ninga and they hide their faces. I helped the teachers to organize the classroom, and sat with the larger group when they play. I tried to help the children when they had conflicts with other peers and give them simple and clear instructions. In addition, I did a lesson plan to the children and they have to manipulate their hand by using clay to create their first letters, and I think they had interest with it.…

My first activity was called Buttermilk, it was adding vinegar to milk to make plastic; my aim was to get the children to investigate why when you add vinegar to milk it turns to plastic. I wanted the children to ask lots of different questions to show that they are investigating; I would then ask them to see if they have gained some knowledge.…

This activity can help influence teaching strategies and overall student learning because it is a team-based activity, not excluding Phillip, but rather, possesses developmental value for all of the children. Due to the team-based exercise, learning can occur in a child’s natural environment with his or her own classmates. Learning and teaching frequently occurs in everyday experiences and contexts, and should therefore be taken into consideration when formulating activities to encourage developmental progression (p. 252)…

Sharon is a 6 month, 185 lbs. healthy woman. She presents with no problems during the pregnancy. She is concern with exercise that will help in the development of her baby and keep her healthy though out the duration of her pregnancy. The plan that I have suggested for her would include walking, swimming, and low pressure aerobics or yoga. All of these exercise will not only benefit her baby but also benefit her as well. Walking was one of the exercises that was suggested. Simply walking 1 to 2 miles per day or something as counting your steps can improve the circulation in the body, increase the cardio system as well as keep her in shape during the pregnancy. This will also aid the delivery process, it allows Mother Nature to do her thing and shift the baby in the downward position for birth. It will aid in making the laboring process easier for some mother and some it will not. The walking keeps the mother fit and healthy during and after having the baby. Swimming is another relaxing exercise that was suggested to the mother. When the body is under water it feels weightless and therefore giving some women a lift off on some well need places on her body during this time. Performing simple strokes with the arms and legs is good for the circulation that many women suffer from during pregnancy. The need for some women to get the feeling that the weight has been lifted if only for a few minutes is a great relief both physical and mentally to expecting mothers. Also using the arms and legs is also good on the cardio system as well. Other simple exercises that can be used are low pressure aerobics and or yoga. Exercise such as these are good for stretching the muscles that will be used in the laboring process.…

The students will then be given a small amount of clay in order to practice the ideas put forth by the teacher using various objects to create texture, space and shape. Once the students have a concept on the artistic techniques needed to create a clay ring holder they will create an annotated draft of their project where they highlight techniques they will use and show conventions such as colour (ACAVAM111) (The School Curriculum and Standards Authority, 2014).…

Aims: The aim of this assignment is to demonstrate and plan a story to read to a group of children aged 2 and half to 4. I chose this age group because this is the group I work with on a daily bases from 9:30 to 12:30 five days a week. I am picking a story called “Oh Dear” by Rod Campbell who is a Scottish writer and illustrator of several popular children's books including the classic lift-the-flap board book “Dear Zoo”. As it is a story that helps the children with learning the different animals on the farm and also encourages the children to use their imaginations as they lift up the different flaps in the book to see what is behind them. Which Maria Montessori says “Imaginative teaching materials are the heart of the process”. All of Rod Campbell’s “books have simple text often with repeating phrases which is ideal for pre-readers” and will also Help the children with langue and intellectual skills. “The child proceeds at his own pace in an environment controlled to provide means of learning” -Maria Montessori. this book also helps the children physically as they have to get up to lift up the flaps on the book “movement is therefore the essential of life education cannot be conceived of ad a means to moderate or worse to inhibit movement; it should only function as an aid to a better expenditure of energy whilst allowing it to develop normally” -Maria Montessori pg 102 discovery of a child. “The aim of the children who persevere in their work with an object is certainly not to “learn”; they are drawn to it by the needs of their inner life, which must be recognized and developed by its means.” – Maria Montessori pg 120 discovery of a child. To develop their attention spans…
