Comparing e-Learning tools' success: The case of instructor-student interactive vs. self-paced tools
Comparing to the case of instructor-student interactive and self paced tools from e-learning, I prefers the case of instructor student interactive indeed of self paced e-learning tools. Although it is a traditional way but it can assure that people can learn and know the knowledge from the teachers and lecturers. The efficiency of instructors delivers the skills and information to students is higher than self learning from home. Students can straightforward ask their tutors and better understanding because the tutors are specialized in those subjects. In addition, students can interact with others which is face to face interaction. It improves their communication skills rapidly. Students become more socialize and they also can make friends from different countries. The instructors can gain the feedbacks from the students directly. There has online discussion through e-learning but it is not practical.
Before applying e-learning, every family should have one computer. However, some families cannot afford to buy a computer. I think it is not the time to implement e-learning fully in Malaysia. It cannot assure that everybody will attend the online courses because there is no guidance on e-learning. Although e-learning is visualized, the instructors can also make the power point slides become more interesting and attractive. Apart from this, e-learning will make the unemployment rate rises in countries. There are a lot of lecturers and instructors could not find a job in the education areas. In my opinion, E-learning should be applied on institutions because those workers can learn flexibly. They can feel free to learn after they are finishing their works and companies can provide computers for them too.
