Acknowledgement First, we would like to express our gratitude to God for the guidance and protection that He gave to complete successfully our first event in this semester. I also would like to ask Him that this event would be another tool to help newly graduates for their careers in the real industry. We would also thankful to dearest professor Ms. Jennifer Doria for giving us a great opportunity to work in this event. She is really a perfect role model for us. She always dedicates her time and efficiency so that our event will be possible. Furthermore, she is a very understandable and patient professor. For this event would be successful, we also give a deeply appreciation for our Guest Speaker Ms. Maria Gina Zenaida Garcia for giving her time and sharing us her knowledge about hospitality careers. A special thanks also to my fellow classmates, schoolmates and friends for giving their time and effort. Lastly, we also give our gratitude to our dearest parents for providing us our needs in terms of financial support.

I. Event Background

A seminar is, generally, a form of academic instruction, either at an academic institution or offered by a commercial or professional organization. It has the function of bringing together small groups for recurring meetings, focusing each time on some particular subject, in which everyone present is requested to actively participate. The purpose of this seminar are to deepen and develop students’ understanding of the topics about hospitality careers ,and also allows students to explore a topic and, guided by the learning outcomes for the course, take responsibility for their own learning.
In line of Department of Hospitality Management’s goal of honing and producing competent graduates, a seminar was made entitled “Hospitality Management Career Talk”.
