Drug Abuse Research Essay
There are multiple reason why I chose to do a report on drug abuse. First off, I have watched many documentaries on drug abuse and find it being an interesting topic. The second being, I would have gotten two projects done; one for English and the other for my IEP. For intellectual purposes, I wanted to learn more about the drugs themselves and the effect they have on the body along with the user’s families. Once, I seen a documentary about drug abuse, I was curious to find out more such as how they make it, how it gets to the United States, and the effect on the body. Drug abuse is what I would consider a pretty severe problem we have here in the United States.
There are many different types of drugs such as marijuana, cocaine, methamphetamines, ecstasy, and heroine to just list a few. These drugs are all fairly simple to produce. Marijuana as everyone knows is a plant and can be grown almost anywhere. The average marijuana plant can produce 1-5 pounds of weed. Cocaine comes from a plant also which most people do not know but, it also has additives just from how they produce it.
