Alcohol Drugs Accident Prevention Training Course (ADAPT)
Introduction and Directions:
In 1989, the Florida Legislature passed section 322.095 of the Florida Statute. This Statute requires all First-Time applicants for a Florida Driver's License to attend a Traffic Law and Substance Abuse Education course. The following on-line course meets this requirement. The main goal of this program is to promote safety on the road for young drivers through knowledge of the variety of issues that affect the operation of a motor vehicle. During this four-hour interactive driving program you will explore a range of topics from factors in collisions to the problems associated with drugs and alcohol. There are a number of short quizzes that you are required to complete. Please review the material if you have chosen wrong answers on the quizzes.
There are four 60-minute sessions within this course. At the end of the program, you will be required to take a 40 question final exam. You must score at least 80% on the exam (32 out of 40 correct). If you score below 80%, you will be allowed to take the final exam one more time after you review the material.
