Aubrey Graham best known as Drake was born in Toronto Canada on October 24, 1986. He's still living at the moment. His father Dennis Graham was a drummer for legendary rock and his mom Sandi Graham also hails from a very musical family. It was one of Drake classmates who gave him his start in the entertainment industry. He attended Forest Hill Collegiate Institute which help him star Jimmy Brooks, the physically disabled character on "Degrassi: The Next Generation". He starred on the show for seven years staring 2001 ending in 2008. Drake started on the modest sales around about 6,000 copies. By early 2008, he received an unexpected call from rap star Lil Wayne. Since that phone call Drake has enjoyed a rapid ascent to the top of the music world.
While working on his mixtapes and his album, Drake has worked with Lil Wayne, Jay-Z, Kanye West, Trey Songz, Robin Thicke, Little Brother, Mary J. Blige, and Jamie Foxx. Drake has also written for Jazz Cartier, Bishop Brigante and Dr Dre. He was nominated for BET Hip-Hop Award Category CD of the year for "Take Care". He has supported DNA Foundation to help children, human rights, rape, and sexual abuse. He also has his own Voulnteer Program that he supports called Team C.A.R.E, a unique volunteer opportunity. He has achieved this success without signing to a major record label, according to his management Hip Hop since 1978. In June 2009, it was revealed that an unauthorized album titled "The Girls Love Drake" and credited to Drake was up for sale on iTunes.
Drake made his debut on chart Hot 100 through "Best I Ever Had", the single in "So Far Gone. As he was the only one on that track the song climbed to the top 18 on the U.S. singles chart.
