Theodor Seuss Geisel, better known as Dr. Seuss. He has illustrated forty-six children's books and he has had more than two million copies sold! Geisel has published more than sixty children's books, and illustrated more than 40! Geisel’s unique, action packed background has helped him positively affect society. Geisel, mainly known for his phenomenal talent of writing, and illustrating children's literature.

Dr. Seuss’s background is very interesting. From writing some of the most famous childrens books in the world to illustrating political cartoons. Geisel was born on March, second, 1904, in Springfield Massachusetts. According to bibliography.com Geisel’s first wife, Helen, committed suicide after Geisel had an affair with longtime friend Audrey Stone Diamond. At the start of World War two Geisel published a series of political cartoons to the Liberal Publication P.M. magazine. Overall Geisel had a successful, action packed background!

Geisel made many accomplishments throughout his amazing life. Geisel won the Pulitzer Prize in 1984. The same year Geisel also won three academy awards.
