Dr Pepper is the oldest major soft drink in AMERICA.
Have you been so thirsty in your life well try Dr pepper it the best tasting soft drink you will ever taste. It goes great with ice cream cones, hot dogs and hamburgers. Dr Pepper extraordinary taste was a hit in 1885 when the product was first produced. Dr Pepper was originally made in Morrison’s Old Corner Drug Store in Waco,Texas, by Charles Pepper, a Virginia doctor who was a father of a girl that Morrison was once in love with.
It was made with 23 natural tasting flavors with a fruity syrup medicine aroma that tasted like it. After trying for a while he found the right mixture he liked. That’s when he decided to test it out on the people who come to the soda fountain, and they liked it as well some people started asking for it a lot more often and they called it shoot me a Waco.
It became well known and soda fountain operators began buying it from Morrison and selling it to the people of Waco. That’s when it started become a problem for Morrison and Alderton when they couldn’t supply enough to the fountains to supply the demands of the costumers.
In 1904 Lazenby and his associate introduced Dr Pepper to almost 20 million people attending the World’s Fair Expo in St. Louis. From 1910 -1914 Dr Pepper was given the slogan “King of Beverages.” In the 1920’s-1930’s the trade mark character was a typical country doctor with a top hat and a monocle.
Robert Lazenby a beverage chemist tried the drink and said he was impressed. Which the beverage chemist suggested that they develop it further. Morrison and Alderton decided to form a new firm Artesian Mfg.& bottling company which soon became Dr Pepper company. Lazenby and a associate decide moved the company to Dallas in 1923....
