“Fast food is the term given to food that can be prepared and served very quickly.”1 Due to change in the life style, taste and preferences fast foods are very important to the people in this generation. Fast food is a food item that is consumed on a go. In UK, the fast food appeared twenty years ago. A 2009, study was conducted worldwide counting the number of fast food restaurants per country. The UK has claimed this title with Australia second and the United States third. England alone accounted for 25% of all fast food: “The UK is the country most attached to fast food, closely followed by the United States, a survey has suggested.”2 In the Fast food’s UK market, competitors are important, it is possible to find Mc Donald, Subway, the famous Fish and chips… it is in actual fact important for the reason that UK's best local takeaway menus online serving Pizza, Indian and Chinese food with 149,000,000 takeaway reviews and 30 Billion it is the pizza’s number which are in the world, each years. So, we will only focus on pizza shop. Pizza is one variety in fast foods and there are many players in the field of pizza and Dominos Pizza is one of the major players in that field. This is a multinational chain; it is the leader of pizza’s market in UK. Globally Domino’s Pizza delivers more than one million pizzas every day. So the leadership of Domino's Pizza: strategic and financial analysis of this brand through the example of its integration into British territory representing 1/4 of the global market of fast food.
Domino’s Pizza was founded in the United States in 1960 by a man called Tom Monaghan. Its first name was DomiNicks and later he renamed Domino’s Pizza.
Domino’s Pizza opened its first UK store in Luton in 1985. Today there are over 8,600 Domino’s Pizza stores in more than 55 countries, employing over 145,000. Domino’s Pizza UK & IRLAND plc is listed on the London Stock Exchange. It moved from the Alternative Investment Market (AIM) to the main market in May 2009. Domino's Pizza is recognised as the world's leading pizza delivery company. Their expertise and passion for delivering hot and fresh pizzas has earned customers numerous awards and the loyalty of millions of pizza lovers around the world.3 The aim of this report is to evaluate the strategic context of the business and to identify the specific strategic issues that Domino’s Pizza attempts to address.
