Does the media, Both print and broadcast, reports fairly Does it ever cross the line between reporting the news and creating the news. In this day and time the merger between news and entertainment there is a lot of troubles and benefits that can confer. The media like any other industry is driven by profit making. This is by creating sensational and attention grabbing news at the price of exaggerating or distorting the truth. The media choices attention grabbing stuff to report for entertainment. There has to be some truth to the news because they all have the same story example The two girls missing in Evansdale, IA on July 18th. That is a World wide Story. On all the new channels, also The man killing 12 people in the movie theatre is all true events and he is facing legal charges for their murders. So some maybe all the news is true. Magazines like people, and star probable may add extra untrue information to the reader to get and keep them interested . To keep them buying their magazines and to give the gossip of the celebrities, or anyone in the public eye. There is probably a fair amount of objectivity & responsible media out there. We just need to know where to look. In recent surveys in the USA shows 45 % of the Americans believe little or nothing that they read in newspapers. Twenty years ago only 16 % of readers expressed profound skepticism (Vernon Coleman,Why the Media cant be trusted to provide the truth,2005)

There should definitely be a line crossed from reporting the news and creating the news creating as discussed earlier is finding interesting news to caught the eye of the public. It can consist of helpful hints on how to stay health and fit, or it can be degrading to the people rather in the news or in the newspapers they should provide accurate information for the viewer as well as the readers.
