DOES THE CRIME COMES BEFORE THE PUNISHMENT ?

This question may lead you to scratch your head, and you may find yourself going back and forth, but there is no right or wrong answer. When a person commits a crime, he or she should be ready for the consequences that come with it. Everyone should be responsible for their own actions. They punishment may be slight or heavy, it all depends on if you are a person that follow the law, like a responsible citizen. “You are innocent till proven guilty” A fundamental concept in the United States justice system, the expression was first used in the Bill of Rights to ensure all citizens receive a fair trial if they are ever charged with a crime, a principle known as due process of law. It is very important for you to know your rights if you are ever charged with a crime. You have the right to obtain legal representation and, if you are questioned, you have the right to remain silent until you have spoken with an attorney. If you cannot afford an attorney, your rights also guarantee that one will be appointed to you by the government. In addition, you have the right to know the charges against you. You’re Miranda Rights, It is important to note that police are only required to Mirandize a suspect if they intend to interrogate that person under custody. Arrests can occur without the Miranda Warning being given. If the police later decide to interrogate the suspect, the warning must be given at that time. Their vigilance to this rule means less chance of a case being overturned in court due to poor procedure on their part. Does the crime come before punishment? In certain situations it all depends, some people will be breaking a law, and don’t even know it. We as the “People” have to start making the right decisions and doing better for ourselves as a whole, and keeping ourselves away and out of trouble.
