Defining Values and Ethics

Values are beliefs that are distinguished traits that will guide us with admirable actions throughout our lives. Values originate from our family, but the values that are encouraged in each individual varies, some of these condition weigh on the teaching of friends, culture, environment, and religion. We learn from our parents the foundation of how we must conduct ourselves in society. These values define an individual by the actions and how we counter certain people. The values symbolize our philosophy of life.

Ethics are defined as an individual emotional state of rules and understanding, awareness for what is right or wrong and the virtue or integrity toward others. Ethics is the center of how a people are defined in various situations, in simple turns ethics shows the "true colors" of individuals, through certain principles of trustworthy, justice, truthfulness, and various other situations. We build our ethics in many forms through our lives. We use ethics in business communication, education and more important as a social or personal quality.

In closing, building a proper personal, and professional values and ethics regardless of the situation, it is imperative to show the beliefs of a person who originated with admirable values and ethics that will carry on for generation to generation, for once a person has completed his/her journey the only evidence will be left is a memory of how people perceived us in our everyday actions.
