This research that entitled “ an overview of political advertising in Indonesia: measuring the printed advertisement in political campaign in general election 2009” is purposing to see how political campaign is going in Indonesia. This research is to measuring the effectiveness of each advertisement towards the target audiences, and also measuring the creativity of each political advertising campaign in Indonesia by the latest general election in 2009. Furthermore the results shows from the finding of this research that Indonesian politics is very well in how democracy is going on nowadays, while it growth significantly ever since 1998. It can bee seen by many political parties has been establishing and it would grow more in the future. That it means it will give boost impact to advertising busies in Indonesia in the future.
