Do you feel that these concepts are appropriate forms of remedy in the workplace? Explain By using affirmative action programs, discrimination can be removed because of the fact the assemblies developed confirms that the weak group is allowed. Affirmative action can be carried out through a number of ways including the delivery of educational benefits, employment, and tightening. By involving itself in an affirmative action, a firm seeks to identify the past mistakes that it has committed. Investing heavily in affirmative action, a firm identifies the importance of workplace diversity and provides opportunities to individuals who are put on the back burner to be employed. Some people and companies don’t think affirmation action as a resolution to removing workplace discrimination at the workplace.
I also feel think some companies look down on woman as if they can’t do a good enough job as a woman. They think woman don’t have that confidence to be as out spoken as a man. A lot of men still think woman should be just house wives by taking care of the house and the children.
What else do you think could be done to eliminate discrimination in the workplace? Reverse discrimination is also an effective method of increasing workplace diversity; it can also create conflict between two employees. This also applies to comparable worth as a method of eliminating discrimination in the workplace. Other methods of eliminating discrimination in the workplace are for the concerned firm to come up with policies that discourage discrimination. Any employee who engages in discriminative practices may have to face the firm’s disciplinary committee. A company may also set up staffing procedures that are designed to increase the number of women in every quarter that the company is employing new employees.
