The National Irrigation Administration is a government institution that still uses the manual or labor-intensive operation in the profiling of their employee's records. It is then passed to the person-in-charged in the Administration Building for categorization and screening. The person-in-charged then passes the documents to the Division Head for approval. He then transfers the profiled information to their filing cabinet for safe keeping and reference. Although their way of profiling works in a way, it is still ineffective in terms of security.
The person in-charged have long operated on the theory that fast classification of the papers results in more fruitful and less error. But how can this theory be possible if nowadays they are still using manual method? This will be successful if they use the right system.
The system is really hard and slow for the person-in-charged in NIA-Maramag in handling such information profiling. As Information Technology students, we studied the situation and come up with the decision of making a system that will help automating the record keeping in NIA-Maramag and helping them in information profiling as easy and organized. It is important to have a certain system that will able the employees work easier and convenient for them to keep record easier by using the system we will be doing. It is more preferably than by doing the manual work. Thus, by making a system it will help to them in managing and monitoring the information and record keeping in the said agency.
We strongly believe that we could help in the betterment of the system in NIA.
