TITTLE: DEVELOPMENT HOPSCOTCH GAME AS A LEARNING MEDIA IN THE MATERIAL GLOBAL WARMING IN JUNIOR HIGH SHCOOL. A. BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY

Education is a very important element in life. Without education, life is not going to go well. In education, teachers are those who have an important role and is a determining factor for the success of education. Creative media will use to increase the chance for students to learn more, keep in mind what he learned better, and improve the appearance of doing skills in accordance with the objectives of learning (Susilana and Riyanan, 2008). Traditional games are the cultural wealth of the nation that have noble values ​​to be passed on to the children as the next generation. traditional children's games have a close relationship with the development of the intellectual, social, emotional, and personality of the child. Traditional games hopscotch is a traditional game that is best known by children and have procedures most varied and most complex, traditional game that is almost extinct these need to be re-socialized children. School could be a suitable place to socialize this game (Iswinarti, 2010). In Gustiana (2011) who understands development as an interaction between biological factors, social, and cultural. This factor is the driving factor for the development of children's ability to function in society. In material global warming has some learning indicators to be achieved, the first is students can explain the process of global warming and its effect on the environment of the earth against environmental pollution associated with human activity. And the second is students can make suggestions or effort in an attempt to overcome and cope with the damage caused by pollution and global warming. The indicator is based on the basic competencies, (3:10) Describing about the causes of global warming and its impacts on ecosystems and (4:10) Presenting data and information about the global warming problem and proposes countermeasures.
