1. Abstract
With the growing popularity of wireless internet and intranet technology, Wifi-Hotspot is a common buzz word in the telecommunication engineering environment. The features and options that wireless hotspot offers it has became one of the most popular internet connectivity solution and the best choice for internet user on the move. Restaurants, cafés, Railway platforms, Airports, Hotel-motel, resort, park, wherever there are people to stay for a short time, relaxing waiting or just biding time Wireless hotspot is the window to the World Wide Web.

This project demonstrates, discusses, analyses every aspect of the Design and Implementation of non-profit secured wireless Hotspot In a popular public place. The project shows the stages that the project went through. 2. Acknowledgments

First of all we’d like to thank our Supervisor and teacher Mohammed Hassan for his help in completion of this project. He was who first brought us the idea of doing the Final Year Project on Wi-Fi Hotspot, Doing everything he could on his limited time to give us advice, tips and proposition on the project. We’d also liket to thank him for making most of the equipment vital for the project available to us. His assistance and understanding of my situation that enabled us to complete the project

We’d also give a special word of thanks to Khorshedul Alam Shohag last year former student of Advanced diploma of telecommuniacation engineering, for his time, advice and guidance in the finding the right operation system and routing device of the project.

We’d also like to thanks all our classmate for their information, advices and encouragements.

I wish to thank family and friends for their support and prayers over the years. And finally the reader for taking time to read this report.

I hereby declare that this project report is based on my original work except for citations and quotations which have been duly acknowledged. I also declare that it has not been previously and concurrently submitted for any other degree or award at UTAR or other institutions.

3. Introduction
The definition of Wi-Fi hotspot can be cited on the base of Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) or Wi-Fi, where the WLAN or Wi-Fi is Wireless connectivity among and between end user devices and intermediary devices based on the EEET802.11 standard with the range of technology support of LAN, PAN (Personal Area Network) and WAN (Wide Area Network) connection. In Wi-Fi hotspot though, it obey all the rules, and support all the features of WLAN but with the difference of, the user have to go through a authentication and/or declaration process before it can connect to the Internet. The authentication and declaration process is operated by the web browser of the user’s device which called CAPTIVE PORTAL or SPASH SCREEN. When the user attempt...
